Description

The listing, Fujitsu laptop computer has ended.

This was purchased about 10 years ago. The hinge is broken so that the screen flops back. We have been using it by propping it up with hard back books instead of going to get the hinge fixed. The scuff marks in front of the hinge are from duct tape because when the hinge first broke, we could hold it up with duct tape. You will get operating discs as shown in the last picture. Also a telephone cable if you want to use dial up. You also will get the dlink card. And it comes with the power supply shown in the last picture. My cat kicked off the two keys that are missing from the keyboard.

The $14 in shipping is to cover a priority mail flat rate box which is $11.45 and I will insure it which costs $1.85 and delivery confirmation of $0.75.

Thanks. You know you can also do surveys for credits too. I usually gain about 1000 points per week doing these depending on how much time I have.

Actually it is a picture of one of my daughters having a tantrum which is the joke because I should have been picking her instead of taking the picture.

Since your husband is an IT expert, can he fix the hinge and possibly replace the missing keys? I would love to bid but I am worried since your husband is an expert and these remain unfixed, that there is another issue possibly I need a laptop for my son and if it could be repaired by your husband, I would love to bid. Thanks!! : )

We did not bother to fix if because of the cost vs benefit. You (or I) would have to purchase parts to do it. Sometimes this is a big hassle. If I was going to fix it, I would just go down to Frys Electronics (where I bought it) or Best Buy (if you don't have Fry's in your area) and give the service department the laptop and have them fix it. Unfortunately the cost will be far more than the computer is worth. The computer is completely usable. It is just the backspace and z the plastic tops that are missing. You can still press on the node in the space and get "z" and "backspace" you just don't have the plastic covers. I took the laptop with me on a week long work seminar that they sent me to. When I got back to the hotel room, I used the class textbooks to prop up the screen and got on the internet, watched movies, and played games - which is probably what you son would do also. I would rather donate it than repair it.

As I recall the screen is about 1 foot tall by 1.5 foot wide. I don't have the computer with me because I am at work. I am not sure how much it weighs, other than it is pretty average weight for a laptop and I am sure that parcel post would cost a lot more for shipping plus there is an added safety with priority since it is on a different network.

By the way, parcel post is a United States post office shipping option. It is usually almost as much as priority if not the same. They do not handle the pkgs. carefully and it takes forever. I sell on ebay, yardsellr and listia all the time and have refused to ship anything parcel post because of the damage to pkgs. shipped that way and the length of time it takes. People are always asking me about it because it used to be a cheap way of shipping parcels and not priority has replaced it basically. Just though this might help. Trying to gain credits to bid on this. Thanks
