These barrettes are all of my own original designs reminiscent of those typically found on traditional Alaskan Tlingit Button Blankets. Each one are crafted by hand, beginning with the sketch and transfer process , individually cutting each piece out, hand stitching and the finishing touches of trimming with beads or buttons. The overall size of the barrette is dependant on the complexity and subject of the design. Each size will be noted in description. Barrettes are made of wool felt, trimmed with abalone / shell buttons and seed beads.
