It has a CAMEO type finish that is found in all " PROOF " coins. It is HIGHLY super lusted coin - ALSO I INCLUDED the picture of the REVERSE side of the coin - This coin has not been touched by Human hands - It was placed in a 2" X 2" mylar small dollar flip coin holder - TKS for looking and have fun bidding.....IF you have any questions PLEASE e-mail me.....TKS!!!!!

HELLO CAROLE, Great Question, All coins as you know comes from the US mint, they are P from Philadelphia, D denver and S San Francisco. Congress authorizes all the Design and what goes on the coins. The mints produce the coins. San Francisco does all the PROOF coins they are not usually for regular circulation, like the business strike coins from PA and DEnver. They are worth the same $ 1.00 dollar but mostly for collector, but if you want to spend it you can. proof coins have a different finish, they have a Super high luster, shine. where regular circulation are just regular coins you see in Walmart and in your pocket..I hope that helps a little....I'm not a expert in coins, but i do know just a little.......Patrick
