FREE: psp1000

I've already got 2 of these that I refurbished myself, but I may still bid anyway just because I like to fix these things. : )

The only pain in the butt about doing a screen swap is getting all of the dust out before closing it up so that you don't get dust particles between the screen and the face plate lens. That would not be a good thing for someone with OCD, LOL.

What I really want is to get my hands on a PSP 2001, but ANYWAY...

FYI, the winner will need to purchase 2 parts in order to properly restore this PSP to perfect working order.

1) A screen (about $20 on amazon for the REAL one, or you could buy the cheaper Chinese copy found on Ebay).

2) The "PSP screen dust seal gasket" (about $10 shipped, also on amazon), as the new screen does not come with the dust gasket.

Trust me. If you replace a PSP screen without applying a new dust gasket, you'll find out after about a week of usage why you need one. ; ) You'll see what the gasket looks like when you pull out the old screen as It will be stuck to the front of it.

There is a tiny crack off the side of it but there isnt one on the screen its self. When i got it it was like that. I never had any dust get into it. But the actual window its self where u see the screen isnt.

Ya know, I thought it looked like the face plate lens was cracked too but I wasn't sure. That's another $9 for that. Good catch, Em.

Right above the Home button. On the bottom left corner of the screen.

Don't forget to replace the outer plastic screen too. You can see in the pic that has it turned on. That the LCD and the main plastic screen are both broke. The outer screen is the whole top plastic case piece. If you don't replace it too. Then you might as well not even replace the rubber seal. It will still get dust in it any if you don't do both the outer plastic and the rubber.

Actually i do have a charger. The screen is 20 on ebay from a seller named songyupeng1 look up psp 1000 screen

He can't do GIN. He is still to new to Listia. The LCD screens are $60 for a replacement and that is just the part. That's not to cheap to me.
