It has shiny spots mixed with dark spots, and has never been used. It looks like antiqued silver, but I am not sure if it is actually silver. It is probably pewter or something like that. It is some sort of metal, not plastic. If it gets over 50 bids, I'll add a mystery barrette, which is as nice or nicer than this one.
