Description

The listing, Heirloom Minnasota Midget 8 Seeds has ended.

Grew these first time this year and they are incredible! Just enough for one person, these were grown in a pot and I have them growing in the garden and they are all hand size for great for healthy snacks and quick breakfast. As soon as they turn yellow/orange on skin, they come right off the vine and you know they are ready to eat! Ni having to tug on them.
True cantaloupe taste, very sweet, skin has extremely sweet fragrance just before harvesting.

Hi fb. These are seeds from this years harvest. They fruit a couple of months after they sprout. These really are good and next year I will be doing a lot of them in pots plus garden.

Hi deerfisherman! You plant these like you would other melon plants. This year i have them growing in pots on a deck and also in a garden, and they both do well. They vine out but only to about3-4 ft. It doesn't take as long for these to ripen like regular melons. The reason why so little seed on this listing is because the amount of seeds i collect from each fruit is equivalent to the size, it doesnt give huge amounts of seed. These are seeds from this years fruits. I am even thinking of starting more now even tho we are at the end of summer but if we can have an extra month..as long as it get some flowers before frost, then I'll bring it inside and try it....thats worked for some other plants.

Hi farmerbrown, only years ago for wild leeks. Everywhere I move to, I plant them in woods nearby to keep leeks going strong. I still love to hike and do sometimes, and as I'm walking, always looking around to see whats out there. The other stuff I just know alot of people that have businesses that sell heirlooms and odd things. I collect odd plants and seeds through the years. Hope my collection will continues to grow. :)
