Laundry soap made in your own home with your own hands. It is easy. It is simple. And it saves you a bunch of money! The ingredients cost about $20.00. That $20.00 buys you enough of the raw ingredients to make 40 (yes FORTY) gallons of laundry soap.
And you aren't stuck with one scent for those 40 gallons of laundry soap. You can pour the laundry soap into smaller bottles (any clean plastic bottle with a lid that you might have in your home) and scent each bottle with a different scent: pine for the holiday season, lavender or vanilla - or both - for your bedding and bed covers, lemon or other citrus for your kitchen towels and hand towels...the ideas are limitless.
This recipe is safe for HE washing machines and will actually help keep your pipes from gunking up and filling with the sludge that ruins most washing machines.

As a bonus, I will also include my recipe for dishwasher powder that is comparable with dishwasher compound that you buy from your favorite grocery store (but, my compound does not include extra gritty abrasives like the commercial dishwasher compounds have started adding = our powder is gentler on china or other fine dish and glassware). Included with these recipes is my secret for spotless glasses without having to use that well known filler product that you pour into the hole in most dishwasher doors.
