Description

The listing, IBM Diskette Drive has ended.

This is a new, never used IBM diskette drive (or IBM USB Portable Diskette Drive) that I got with the purchase of a computer. I've never used or needed it so it can now be yours!!

The important, yet boring, rules!!!

1. I WILL ONLY SHIP TO LISTIA STORED & VERIFIED ADDRESSES!! No ifs, ands, buts or exceptions!!
2. If you do not respond to my emails, after an auction, within 7 days, with your Listia address, I will keep the item & credits then relist it....(per Listia rules)
3. I will ship each item as inexpensively as possible & provide tracking on the items , for both our sakes but more for my benefit than yours, so as to cover my own proverbial tail!
4. Lastly, I do try to mail your package out within 3 days after auction end...however, I am paralyzed and have to get help to go to the PO, so I can't just up & go any day I want...so I try to make 1 or 2 trips a week. Your package might end up in that 2nd trip, at .the end of the week, if the auction ends after I've gone on my 1st trip. So, bear with me! I will ALWAYS communicate with you!

My home is NOT a smoke free nor pet free home....however, I do keep all of my auction items in a cedar trunk until time for shipping! If this is a deterrent towards your bidding, I am sorry.

This is not a hard drive, but just a diskette drive.

Ok, great...I appreciate the correction as I am completely ignorant when it comes to electronics of any kind! Lol...I'll fix my mistake, and again, thank you! :)

It is a portable disk drive like Chris1336 above has stated it shows in the photo of the label on the bottom of the drive. All of the information you need should be on that label including the date of manufacture. Would be great for someone like me who still has a lot of data still on 3.5 inch diskettes. The newer computers no longer come with drive.

CDs are disks too lol... only the newer drives are going to have a usb connector though. I haven't seen a floppy drive of either size in ages! lol This is a great auction as one stated, many computers do not come with a disk drive anymore...I wish I could bid, but my credits are tied up elsewhere for Christmas...sorry but good luck just the same! I have both 3.5 in and 5 inch floppies around still....

Just look at the photos which clearly state this is a "Diskette" drive so this is for 3.5" floppies and was probably designed for IBM Thinkpad laptops when they still made them.

I apologize for not answering any comments the past couple of days...my health was severely bad and as you could see, I had not even been online....I am not trying avoid anyone's questions nor am I trying to disguise what this item is or might be. I have described it to the best of my knowledge and taken pictures of it from every angle. I only know what the description says ON the item...no more..I am ignorant when it comes to computers and/or electronic devices...I already admitted this...so the only thing I can tell you is that it was in my storage in the spare room of my home...I don't recall how long I've had it or even for what system it came with. So, please, use your own judgement here...bid if you desire...but please...NO negative comments or you will be blocked. Thanks for stopping by and Merry CHRISTMAS!
