The listing, Real Authentic $100 Confederate bill has ended.
This is a 100% real authentic $100 Confederate bill. In rough shape but still a highly sought after collector's item. This particular bill displays the slaves picking cotton in the cotton field whereas the more common $100 bill displays a locomotive train on the center. This particular bill is a rare find. The edges are worn and have tears on them but the bill looks like it has been torn up when the edges are actually just folded around the back as you can see in the back picture and the close-up shots. I have never taken it out of the plastic sleeve as long as I have had it but if a trained collector were able to, they could straighten the bill back into shape.I bought this at an estate sale which had several civil war era collectibles. There is also writing on the back which looks like either : January 25th or February 25th. Really hard to read. Remember this bill was in circulation over 130 years ago. There are many fake knockoffs out there but this one is authentic!
