The listing, NEVER offered before Native American Remedy has ended.
Here's a new one for Listia. I'm a wildcrafter in the backwoods of the Appalachian Mountains and spend most of the year hiking and camping gathering herbs with my friend. One of our favorite things to gather is the Jewelweed. Jewelweed is a plant the Native Americans use for the relief of itching and rashes from poison ivy, stinging nettle, poison sumac and oak, and a variety of rashes. It is also a good plant to relieve the pain from bites and stings from the various critters we encounter, and we encounter quiet a few. Some major soapmakers have discovered its uses and are now making soap using this plant. We have made it for many years, but by making it ourselves we are able to make a stronger version than most offer, plus our plant stock is freshly cured. We never hike, fish, camp, garden, without carrying a small bar with us in case we come into contact with ivy. I sometimes offer my soap on here and do very well with it.
I am offering some of our dried jewelweed so that you mite try your hand at making the soap. It is very easy to make, and I will include our recipe with the dried stock. You will have to purchase, at your local craft or hobby shop, one small bag of glycerin soap, less than ten bucks. I will send enough weed that you can make a couple batches of soap, a LOT of bars. Use them as stocking stuffers or sell them. We get several dollars a bar for our soap and sell the dried stock for 45 dollars a pound to some major soap makers. I like to promote this soap as most aren't aware of its uses. This auction is for one well stuffed bag of dried jewelweed, the soap is NOT included, plus our recipe. We sell to landscapers, utility workers, hunters, hikers, fishermen, gardeners etc. Here's a cheap way to make Christmas gifts for everyone on your list that they will LOVE you for. (They are also popular at craft shows and flea markets, You just don't see it too often cept here in the mountains) Once they use it, they will be back for more.
