Description

The listing, necklaces + more JEWELRY BLOWOUT! has ended.

My girlfriend inherited a lot of vintage jewelry from her grandmother and we've posted much of it here over the past couple weeks and now we're coming to the end. This auction is my Closeout Special! :)

Instead of listing these separately, I'm taking the easy way out and including these all together in one big auction, filling up a flat-rate Priority Mail box. I'm not messing around with any "tiered" business: winner gets all! Let my laziness be your gain! :) I figure you can pick out the ones you like for yourself, and the rest can either be given as Christmas gifts or re-list them yourself separately and perhaps even make yourself a profit.

The main part of this lot are 9 necklaces. A good variety: Pearls (I assume imitation, but I honestly don't know for sure), beads, sterling silver, shells, and a couple light Mardi Gras-style "star" necklaces. The tiny silver necklace is marked "925 Italy", indicating it's sterling silver. The other necklaces don't seem to be marked, except the pearls have "Pat." marked on the clasp, I assume meaning the style of clasp is patented.

As a bonus, I will also throw in the following!
- 2 watches (not currently working, but I assume they just need fresh batteries)
- a bracelet
- a pair of earrings
- at least 1 more mystery piece of jewelry
- And maybe more, if I have anything left over after my other jewelry auctions close.

This will likely be my final jewelry auction, at least for a while. Pretty much all I have left are gold-colored pieces that I need to take to a jeweler to find out if they're real. Once I do, I may list them next year. (Just to be clear, the gold is NOT part of this auction.)

Free Priority shipping! I will ship in a Priority Mail small flat-rate box (will arrive in time for Xmas). I always send quickly, usually within 24 hours of receiving winner's address via Listia. Feel free to ask questions in the comments. Thanks and good luck!

I didn't see a pic of the earings mentioned in the auction. Would you mind giving a description...not necessary to post pic...I'm just curious. Thanks. Fanned you please fan me back.

Thanks! Fanned you back. There are a pair of little red curls. Then another hanging pair with mint-colored balls and metallic leaves. Well, I'm not great at describing jewelry, but I've uploaded another photo of more items included in this lot here: http://defgav.com/postal-receipts/jewelry-bonus.JPG

I can tell you how to know for sure if the pearls are bad imitations or good imitations, or maybe real. I think the pearls would make your auction really exciting if they are definitely not bad imitations. Bite them. If the finish comes off, they are bad imitations. If they withstand that, they are either good imitations or real. If the surface does not scratch off, I think many of us would consider that reason to bid bigger on this nice collection. That is a gorgeous long pearl necklace. It is very desirable if it is a good imitation, and it is a true treasure and valuable if it is real. Let us know please if it is either a good imitation or possibly real! I wouldn't blame you for saying nothing if it proves a bad imitation, but I think we would all be excited if it does not scratch the finish between your teeth.

Doesn't look like the pearls pass the bite test, got to say, but they still look pretty good to me! :) Thanks for your help.
