i have up for auction a pandigital the color of it is purple i have no charger and it wont turn on right now i bought it at a yard sale this past summer i thought my charger would fit it but it didnt and i have no time to go and get one so this item is sold as is it comes with a leather case no scratches like i said i never seen this item turned on so i dont know if battery is just dead or item does not work so once again sold as is

We did some more research on this particular model/color. These were made by Pandigital exclusively for QVC. So like any type of cellphone that is exclusive to a particular phone company, they are limited on what you can do and have QVC shopping app on it. It is limited to what you can download from the android store. It is running Cupcake (for those that are aware of Androids iOS). It will not play flash videos or Facebook games. My husband said this is why it will have to be rooted. For those unfamiliar with that term, he said you basically have to "jailbreak"/unlock" it. I hope this helps anyone interested in bidding on it.

My husband said if you have any questions he will be more than happy to answer them for potential buyers :-)

What you are seeing is the mini USB port to connect it to the computer. The hole next to that is the power source which takes a 12v adapter.

Looks like an original USB port but it's really fuzzy so I can't really tell...but whoever wins just contact me I have 100s of chargers I know I have one to fit this that I will post if u want it

Oh I know your being honest. Just trying to get some links out there for potential bidders to understand what they are getting if this is QVC.

Either way, I will be a tough one to go against on winning this!! :-) I do have my set max since we are unsure if it will boot up or not so someone would have to be willing to bid higher than that to take it from me. If you scroll down on the forum you will see a reference to the colored ereaders being exclusive for QVC.

At some point Pandigital did there own release of a few of the colored ones but again not a lot of information out there on how to tell which one is which other than QVC will have the qvc app and their version of android.

I have one of those universal power adapters. Mine even has different voltage settings because some items are 2.5 or 7.2 , 9 and or 12. Or something like that. Without having it in front of me I can't remember the exact voltage settings.

Thanks to my husband and son who are Linux and android users because they believe in open source software, they explained more toe about this. My daughter is an apple person. She has an iPad and I have been wanting one but can't seem to afford it via cash or credits so with luck that this will work and my hubby can do what he called by having to root it I hope I will have an ereader soon :-)

I looked on pandigitals site and they sell the plugs for newer models but this model number didn't match with any of the plugs. I wonder if I called them if a plug could be special ordered.
