No, it's stiff when you straighten with it, that's why I didn't like it but it was brand new and they can be stiff in the beginning. It's pretty and works well, I just figured I would stick with my old one.

Not really sure, it doesn't say any specifics on it. Just has an on and off switch. It's cute enough, but no temp. And no brand on it listed where I can find.
