You are bidding on a QPS DRIVE which is an external CD/RW drive.
Complete with power cable, universal power supply adapter, USB cable, installation disk, CD-R & CD-RW media, installation manuel and QPS carrying bag. Almost brand new. Bought to use with my G3 but was given an iMac that already had CD/RW drive in it so I never used it. Originally retailed for $199.99 in 2001. I only ship to the U.S. Winner pays for shipping. Weight 7lbs. Please read the Minimum System Requirements below to make sure this drive will work with your system.

hello sorry i have edited the write up, no intentions of misleading anyone please go to auction I had meant to say...Bought to use with my G3 but was given an iMac that already had CD/RW drive in it so I never used it.

I have added Minimum System Requirements to the write up. Sorry not too computer savvy. Hopefully this is not to out of date, because I had never used it, practically brand new. Even have the original box it came in. Hope this helps and again sorry not sure if it will work with the iMac, Thanks for your question!

A netbook is like a notebook, only a little smaller and they don't have cd drives, so an external one is needed to download a cd or dvd.

It depends on how much data you're going to burn, and how fast your drive is. Burning 650MB of data takes about 74 minutes at 1x, 37 minutes at 2x, and 19 minutes at 4x, but you have to add a minute or two for "finalizing" (sometimes known as "fixating") the disc. Looks like this burner writes at 4x, rewrites at 4x and reads at 8x.
