I am no NOT elctronically-inclined =(. The game system just reads the signal from the controller when its turned on, I guess. Pretty cool though.

It does come with both pieces... sorry it took so long to respond - my internet went KA-PUT, along with all the electricity in the metro area for a couple days. Sorry for the inconvenience. And yes, it does work.
