Description

The listing, Heirloom Tomato ✽ BLONDKOPFCHEN ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

This clear jewel-yellow cherry tomato from eastern Germany with a slight nipple end will become a favorite in your garden. The name of this adorable heirloom means "little blonde girl", but my son calls it Blonde Chicken. They yield a phenomenal amount of 1/2", grape-sized tomatoes in clusters of 20-30. One plant is all you will need, but you might want to plant more to share. These were so abundant (even in horrible clay soil) that we had to actually sit down to harvest every other day! Deliciously sweet with a slight citrusy tart finish. Disease resistant. Crack-resistant and incredible uniform fruits, even in late summer.

Days: 75
Size: Indeterminate (produces fruit all season)
Color: Yellow
Season: Mid-Season
Type: OP Heirloom
Uses: snacking, salads

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail. I only take Paypal for International bidders, I do combine any additional auction seeds (within 5 days) for no additional shipping charge. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 70°F in the spring of 2012. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.
