No. I request USPS money orders due to how safe they are. Most banks & any company consider Western Union money orders (which are the most common) to be associated with fraud & don't accept them. Every post office is required by law to offer money orders. These money orders are backed by the United States Postal Service; meaning if it is lost in the mail, you can take your receipt to the post office, they'll cancel the money order & you'll get your money back. Other companies may do this, but they'll charge you fees & take a lot longer to give you your money back. Plus money orders from the USPS barely charge you a fee with them; where every other money order company charges you 25 cents on the dollar. Not to mention the fact that it allows me to ship the item a day earlier; as I can just use the money order as cash in the post office since it's from the post office; whereas other money orders must be put in the bank & clear before I ship the item due to heavy fraud associated with most money order companies.

no. never send cash through the mail; as it'll never arrive at its destination. i've done it twice in my life & both times the post office stole the money. your post office is required by law to do money orders so i'm not sure what the problem is.
