I sell makeup regularly and secure it in recycled materials. It is simple to use a piece of cardboard as an envelope and secure it for mailing cosmetics. During my 11 years as a seller, I have NEVER purchased packing materials.
I'm going to assume you meant that to be helpful. In which case I normally toss packaging material because it causes clutter. Not all of us have the capacity to hold on to our received packaging materials. Then again not all of us are constantly trafficking it either. But I will see if I have anything laying around.
I don't have the capacity (living in a trailer) except for two dresser-size drawers. One drawer contains plastic bags and cardboard from product and package accumulation that i've received. You can get materials free from USPS, too. The other drawer contains large junk mail envelopes and paper bags. When the drawers are full, I pitch unneeded materials to avoid overflow. That way, I don't have to charge much for shipping and am recycling. USPS doesn't have a problem with packaging that has printing blacked out. I'm not a green person per se, just cheap.
That's cool. I just throw it all away. I don't have a dresser to put stuff in and all the extra space I do have is overrun by baby stuff. =/ But like I said, I'll try to find something around to send it in.
I fight for the right for you to collect shipping charges as you see fit. I can't afford to ship free and will not do so. Addiitonally, your time and trouble are worth something. On this site, people are constantly asking for free shipping. I just can't do it. I pay $40+ to the Post Office at every visit because I have a lot of customers. The products I advertise are much cheaper than they can get anywhere, including my shipping charges. I don't understand some peoples' reasoning. I'd have to be independently wealthy to ship everything free.
