The listing, Handmade In Japan Pearl Neck Collar has ended.
This is a hand made in Japan Pearl Neck collar. Please see all the photos I have tried to highlight the faults with this.
This has been in a dresser drawer for years. Pearls are loose or missing in spots(see Photos) Egdes of collar on the back side are showing storage coloring.
Hopefully someone could use the pearls? ( I do not know if they are real or not)
15 inches long.
Questions & Comments
It's more than likely real pearls. Older pieces tend to be crafted better and use better quality materials, unlike junk that's made in china now, lol. Very pretty. Nice auction :)
Thank you odiemiloe for your comment. My Dad brought these home when he was in the Service(1944) for my Mom and of course she appreciated them but being a farm girl would rather had a new horse..lol.
I addressed this question in a previous comment..lol. These are very, very old and have been in a dresser drawer for a very long time. I'm so not putting my teeth on these. thanks thou for your comment. Blessings to you!
Very Nice Piece, Considering your Dad got these for your Mom, in '44 across the Atlantic a lot of stuff was brought back. I imaging these to be real! I would totally have someone rub them across their teeth! lol......you could be getting rid of something very cool from WWII
Thank you Jenniferbms03 for your comment. I really couldn't say and my Dad had a lot of items from the war..He came home injured and was in the NY hospital for months..I remember my Mom telling me her and a friend of hers rode the train to NYC..which was a great adventure in the 40's for a farm girl. Darn it I'm rambling..Sorry about that. Blessings to you sweetie and Happy New Year!
Hi Tammy531..lol. Thanks for the information. Several people have suggested that to me.(see previous posts) These have been sitting for a very, very long time and I'm still not touching my teeth to them. I want to keep my teeth as nice as I can for as long as I can..heh heh.By the way I love your Beagle Bassett..(It is a beagle Bassett?) So cute..and I can imagine the baying he can do too!! A long time ago I had a sweetie just like that.
Hi nyneelie! Oh sweetie it is so good to see you here..(((HUGS))). Age has caused everything to go South on me except my teeth! heh heh. Blessings to you sweet girl!!
you can tell if a pearl is real by rubbing it on ur teeth, if it feels like it is gritty or like sandpaper then the pearl is real :) just fyi good luck!
Hi lilitheden. I'm glad for the information..however I'm not using my teeth to test them..they are very old and have been stored in a dresser drawer for ages and ages. LOl..I can't imagine putting them to my teeth..
