Book was designed to allow anyone who wishes to become a painter, designer or illustrator to master the basic techniques of pencil sketching through the use of rich examples and explanations. It covers materials, how to view the subject in order to produce an accurate sketch, how to apply shading, how to produce different textures, how to draw still life, portraits and landscapes, explaining the secrets of each tecnhique. All the text is written in English and Japanese.
