Description

The listing, McCall's Halloween Costumes Pattern!! New, uncut!! has ended.

I bought this pattern with the intentions of making my halloween costume. Well, I guess I grabbed a child's size instead of the adult small behind it, and didn't find out until I got home. Since the size is for a kid's 6-7-8 I thought perhaps I could use the size 8 for myself, but turns out after I laid the patterns out that the dimensions would be off because I'm a little taller than it would work for. I left the patterns out to settle and unfold, but the next day I ended up going to town and getting the correct size pattern anyway. So, this one is completely new and uncut.

It retails for $13.95 and is an easy pattern to follow. It's even called "Easy McCall's Costumes". With this pattern you can create a cat, bunny, kangaroo, bear, or lion, or use your imagination and create your own take on this pattern! I'm doing "Max" from "Where the wild things are". Ha ha ha.

OK, sizes this will fit: Kids size 6-7-8
Body measurements are:
Bust 25" to 27"
Waist 22" to 23 1/2"
Hip 26" to 28"
and back waist length 10 1/2 to 12"

Now, the finished garment measurements, which are quite different are:

Bust 37" to 39"
Hipline 37" to 43 1/2"
back length from normal neckline 40 1/2" to 45"

This is a totally cool costume and will be super simple to make for anyone! I made mine from start to finish in just a couple hours, like from the time I pulled the pattern out to the time I put the zipper in. Very easy! Such a great way to save some money this halloween and give the kiddo's a great costume to boot!

As always, free next day shipping!! Happy bidding!! :)

Depending on the size and type of costume you are planning to make, it will require anywhere between 2 1/2 to 4 yards of fabric. It also calls for elastic, a hook and loop fastener, fiberfill for the tail, and a 14" zipper. If you want to know the specifics for your child's size, I can let you know for certain! If this goes for a reasonable amount I'll throw in elastic and the hook and loop fastener as well.

Good luck bidding then Pebbley! The costume I made with the adult size came together so fast, and just cute and cool! There's actually so much room to customize with this pattern and a creative mind!

This would also be a great pattern to use to let your child help some and learn some sewing basics.
