Very interesting vintage/antique illustrated world map. Dated 1944. First edition. For the first time in history showing the entire world in correct size, shape and position. 51 authentic water color paintings. 270 pen drawings. Illustrating people, customs, travelways, scenic beauty and natural wonders of the world. Cost fifty cents. Outside of map has some wear and tear and yellowing throughout. Inside is in good condition. No tears, rips or missing pages.

It is not in pages exactly. Each "page" opens up to make a map or an assortment of photos and information.

Hard to explain because it is not pages. Each page you come to opens up to a map or a set of pictures and there are numerous things on it. The maps open up to large ones.
