This is a ball of vintage Gedifra Serano yarn in Ecru. It is 52% Tactel nylon and 48% nylon. It is 109 yards, 1.76 ounces. It's made in Italy and the manufacturer lists it as worsted weight, eyelash texture. The yarn is like a soft cord with little white strands all along it, and some fuzzy bits spaced along it. (see photo). The manufacturer states that it's perfect for hats and gloves or anything worn against the skin because of it's velvety texture. It certainly does feel like velvet!

The yarn has been kept in a smoke-free, pet-free, fragrance-free household. I did get it in a box with lots of other yarn, so I'm not sure if it was a smoke free home before it came to me. It has no smoke odor (or any other odor) that I can detect.
