I don't know what they are made of. I have had them a long time but just don't wear much jewelry anymore. What you see is what you get :-) (except for the penny...that's mine!)

Here's a little trick I learned when I used to be the manager of Friedman's Jewelers ; get some 0000 grit steel wool and you can buff, polish, and shine it up like brand new money! And it works amazingly on ANY metal...gold, silver, platinum, copper, pewter...

If the penny isn't included, forget it! *g* Is the "J" scratched or is that a reflection?

The scratchy spots are caused by a little of both. There are very fine hair-line surface marks and the reflection made them show up more. You have to look really close to notice them.

If I had thought to use a shiny new penny that looked better, I might have thrown it in, but I won't auction off the ugly one I used here. If it's a deal breaker, you can have the dirty penny, lol.
