No it is not real gold, it is sliver in color. it is custtome jewelry not freal gold or silver.

I missed all the drama but now the email I received makes sense lol A cross symbolizes different things to different people and is respected differently as such. Regardless of your personal or religious viewpoint - real silver or not, its still a pretty piece of Jewelry.
