Description

The listing, Oklahoma Rose Stone has ended.

The legend of the stone – During the early 1800’s President Andrew Jackson ordered the removal of the Cherokee Tribe from their Eastern homeland to Oklahoma Territory. Four thousand brave Cherokee perished on the arduous journey later to be referred to as the “Trail of Tears”. Folklore states that God looking down from heaven with compassion turned each falling tear into a beautiful stone rose. Only in Oklahoma, the end of the journey, is the rose rock to be found.

That is a wonderful habit to have! Sooo many people don't realize what the NA population went through and the source of they're legends. I think it's so wonderful!

If people would read, listen and learn there are so many stories not just Native American - we all came from some place and there were customs and stories.

Yes, exactly. Also, do some research about what's written in the history books. I've always remembered there are 2 sides to all events, and history books were written by the winners. The Trail of Tears was a horrible time in The Peoples history, many brave people gave their lives to keep the younger, weaker and elderly safe. It's awesome that you take the time to learn about cultures and their lore. Wish more people would do the same.
