I think craft fairs and consignments probably do better in a tourist area, and unfortunately Iowa doesn't really have a lot of tourist traffic. We have a neat historic shopping area called Valley Junction, I was thinking of checking out the stores to see if any of the shops there were interested in consignments, but my guess is that they are overwhelmed with crafters trying to sell stuff. I go to a great hair salon though, maybe I'll ask if they want to try to sell some of my jewelry. They are very busy all the time.

When you go to a craft fair, how much do you typically sell? What types of fairs seem to work best?

I have some home parties and due pretty well! haven't done any craft shows yet!
