The listing, GORGEOUS! 14k Solid White Gold Amethyst Ring w/Diamond Accents has ended.

Absolutely beautiful, sparkling 14k white gold ring, with a lovely unique setting of 3 amethyst ovals accented on each side by small diamonds. The stones are actually a very pale purple, although they look quite blue in the photos, not sure why.....I couldn't get it to look purple no matter what I tried....but just so you know....they ARE NOT BLUE. The high setting on this ring is really quite striking....with all of the cut-outs.....
Tthe size is about 6 and 3/4......on my ring mandrel.
It is marked 14k..... and on the opposite side also marked Al53.....which I am unable to determine what this means......It may just be a style#......it does not appear to mean anything regarding the gold content....at least not that I could find on the web, so I do believe it is simply 14k solid gold.

Hi, regarding the A153 on the inner ring, this would be an inventory number or the artisan jeweler who made the ring, for instance. say the ring was made at the Diamond Center where you can pick out the diamond you want and they will set the stone while you watch......it is quite attractive!!

This looks more like Tanzanite. Very pretty. If your saying it's a lite purple, it just might be tanzanite and not amethyst. Defiantly watching

From what I see on the web, tanzanite is blue.....but these are a pale purple.

Hay Hiker00, FYI - Tanzanite is not blue completly, it comes in all shades of lavender, but might have a slight purple / blue hint to it. The predominate color is purple of all shades of tanzanite. Extremely pretty stone and more valuable then amethyst.

tanzanite can be light purple, darker, or bluish. the bigger the stones the darker they look, usually. THe darker bluish purple is the best.

Great ring.. Here is a tip to get photos to show true color , use a light blue background , and use natural light , either outside or one of those daytime bulbs, soft white bulbs are actually more red than white and give off a orange glow.. but even if you just use a light blue background they will come out more true to their color, that is why most ID / Passport photos have a light blue background... Nice ring I am watching.
