This brooch is of high end, costume jewelry quality. All stones are present, foil backed, & prong set. All the crystals are faceted & jeweler cut. This brooch has layered stones & is tiered or 3 dimensions. 6 large, perfect stones on the 1st layer, separated from eachother with a decorative, gold tone, filligree design, 8 small, clear rhinestones on the 2nd layer & a single, beautiful yellow rhinestone tops it off on the 3rd layer. Gorgeous. You should see it in the sunlight!! I've tried to show different lighting conditions so U can assess it's beauty in varying light. I belive it to be genuine gold plated but there are no marking on it at all. It measures 1 inch all around & is no lightweight!! There is a small flaw, however with the clasp. It works well. but, is a rollover style that no longer has the safety catch. So it functions like the older C-Clasps now. I wore it for an entire day while I gardened, raked, power walked, vacumed & cleaned house!! & boy, was I tired!! But>>> the brooch never fell off or moved ;0)
