"Swarovski" is not a type of crystal. Its a company in Austria. Isn't Jolee a crystal company and make their own? Very nice, I might add. Just a friendly FYI.

Jolee's is a scrapbooking company that started out making stickers. They have expanded to beads also.

Swarovski is most certainly a crystal. Yes its a company is austria, but its also the brand name of theor crystals.

The Jolee's beads have Swarovski elements, so call it what you want, but they are swarovski crystals.

Y'know what these are good for? Cell phone charms. You can get cell phone charm findings, but I'll bet you could make them without the findings pretty easily. A Listia friend send me a cell phone charm she made, and my kids liked it so much I made them for their phones too. But my one daughter's phone doesn't have a little slot for it, so she put the charm on her camera. But you could also put them on a small change purse, or other things like that that kids carry around.

That's a good idea!!! Thanks!

When I take apart the strands to use the smaller beads, I use some of the big giant pendants to make sun catchers to hang on a rearview mirror ar wherever. They are pretty :)

I was in Office Depot yesterday buying school stuff for my daughter and they had on clearance these little cell phone charms with a heart. I already have some of the findings but it might be good to pop into an office store if you have one nearby and pick them up if they are on clearance ... take off their cheapie charm and add one of your own. You can do it with a headpin or just some beading wire.

I'm trying to remember, but I think they were $1. You might still be able to get them if they have them at your local store next week. Don't fret about it ... you can also buy them online very cheap, probably less than that if you buy 10 or more.

we have a great craft store here too called pat catans. They discount everything by 40%, so their prices are WAY cheaper than Jo-Anns & Michaels.

Maybe they have something there. That's where I get all the supplies to make the earrings.

I read that Swarovski was the person's last name that "perfected" the facet type cut of the glass beads. Now, a company name to boot! :)
