is this non-toxic so kids can play with it? do you use it the same way? is this the same as air dry clay/porcelin? or is it play-doughish like? how long does it take to make? are the ingrediants easily found or will they need to be special ordered?
I have been using polymer clay for about 15 years now. It is non-toxic however it is not air dry clay. It gets backed in your oven at a low temp after you have created your masterpiece . It is advised that you bake it in well ventilated area and do not bake it on a pan or dish that you will use again for eating. I just keep a pyrex dish separate just for my clay baking. And another tip, put your piece on parchment paper too. Helps control shine and burning. Jewelry is a very popular thing made form polymer. You can make beautiful beads. If you are new to polymer lay there are many many books and ideas out there. Online and in the craft stores.
