This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, Traditional Art Commission has ended.

All art is hand-drawn by me. Your work WILL be finished within the week.

WILL DO:
1 your original character (provide a ref or multiple examples of art done for you by other people)
2 your customized character on a forum site/game/etc.
3 a cute-ified drawing based on a photo of you

will NOT, absolutely NOT do:
1 fanart for your idiotic fandom
2 some guy/girl from that anime you like (see #1)
3 i really don't give a crap if your character is "just like that one guy from that one anime but with this and that in blankety blank color/pattern"
4 what part of YOUR OWN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY do you not get?

the NSFW examples: (remove the spaces or the link won't work, duh)

Start bid is "high" because I value my time and art materials. 1300+ if you want a couple. Nobody else bids to push the auction that high? Too bad. Alternatively, you can win both of my art commission auctions and have me do ONE couple drawing.

I will send you a link by Listia or to your e-mail address of choice. Continental USA residents can request the physical work. (I will mail the actual drawing to you if you want it. USA ONLY!)

Finally, don't be an idiot and I won't have to tell you what you are, okay?

You're extremely rude and unfriendly. Just that whole snippet made me not want to buy anything from you. Learn how to better explain yourself and come off as a friendly artist. If you don't want to do fandom characters then explain it in a less hostile/rude way. Talking down to the people you want to bid on your art is not cool at all.

Obviously I don't want people who want fan-art bidding because they always find a way to whine about "just once" doing a fan-art. The answer is always no and will remain no ad infinitum.

That is perfectly acceptable to me. I am not much concerned with how I look to those so easily offended.

I'm sorry to ask this, but could you better define 'fan art' ? The term seems very loose to me, and makes me wonder about it.

Fan art is any art of copyrighted/trademarked characters. Fan-made (non-canon) and original characters are fine.

What about human versions of animal characters? Would those count as fan made?
Jan 2nd, 2013 at 10:03:44 PM PST by

If, for example, the character in question were... A humanoid version of one of the My Little Pony characters, that's still based on a licensed character and would not qualify. If this character were more of... Your own personality + unique design it would be okay with me. I just hate when people take an existing thing, just change the name and call it done. Basically I'm saying things meanly to scare off the brainless. I want to bring to life someone's brainchild, their own creation. If what you have in mind is not such a thing, you are better off looking for another artist.

Thank you for your explanation. In fact, I have a personal character that I came up with, only I made it on Facebook's pony maker app. Watching.

That is quite acceptable. If you have more details you can think of to include that were not available to add on that maker, they can be incorporated into the piece as well. Thank you for asking good, coherent questions.

One out of three being reasonable is good enough for me. Some people just forget "assumptions make and ass out of u and me"
