A five pound mailing scaled, approved by the USPS. Very light and has a USB port to use in connection with mailing programs. I used my over the Holidays and loved it! I intend to get a lot of future use out of it!

does the scale itself weight 5 pounds or does it only register weight up to 5 pounds thanks!

I will tell you this, it's a great start out for NOT having to run to the post office all of the time! Lett alone you can save on shipping, When, one envelope will cost a person 1.95 in shipping, this scale will tell someone how much a envelope weigh, then you can punch the ozs in and it will tell you how much it will costs, I saved over 50.00 in shipping this Christmas.
