Chicory is not only very stunning with its vibrant morning blooms and leaving an odd looking tall stalk in the afternoon and evening But this plant can be very usefull the tender greens can be used in salads also cooked like spinich that takes some bitterness away and goes really good with walnuts, the roots can also roasted and used as caffine free coffee substitute, among other uses

four kinds of chicory in this lot the flowers look the same but the leaves are different one is a little more like lettuce and the other is a little more like dandylion. I will also includ some Frisee/curly endive as well as some Radicchio all forms of chicory and will have the same fowers.

Radicchio is neat planted in the fall will come up red the next year.
