Description
The listing, Rare!!! 1908 Silver Barber dime mint condition! has ended.
I have up for bidding a rare 1908 silver barber dime in mint condition. The gem brilliance of this coin is absolutely amazing. it is sealed in an airtight plastic case. I believe it is uncirculated but I am not 100% sure. This is your chance to own a piece of American history, nearly 104 years old nearly in the same condition as the day it was struck. Happy biddings folks.
update: These are the best pics I could get on a cloudy day. camera just would not take a better pic. it is actually shinier than it looks.
Questions & Comments
Has it been cleaned? Have it checked at a coin shop if you don't know. fw
Its the quarter that has liberty on the reverse sheild.but under the one dime at the bottom is a ribbon.Below that ribbon is there any letters like P,D or S?
it looks like either an O or a D. very very tiny and under the right side of the ribbon. I can't really be sure though. it looks to be under the loop but above the end of the ribbon in the negative space. is this the right place to look?
This is just my opinion the au-50 was the opinion of a collector or a dealer that's not a case from a professional grading company. Although its really close to an au50 (au stands for almost uncurculated) I would say its a high ef 40(extra Fine) That being said its a 20-30 dollar coin. But collectors will pay unbelievable amounts sometimes if they really want something. If it has an O or S would be 50 -100 dollar coin so for your auctions sake I would reccomend letting us know this if so.I expect you getting 30,000 plus here which is close to 80 dollars in credits GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
if you cant see any liberty, on the head band this might be a lower grade, go here to see grades of barber dimes http://www.barbercoins.org/Grading-BD.html
