How about posting a pic of the "illegible" mark? Maybe other listians can help you figure it out. It's NOT solid 24K. There is no such thing as pure gold jewelry. It's too soft to hold it's shape and the stones would have fallen out with the first wearing.

about the only place you can get 24K gold is over seas. i have some of it and talked to a high end jeweler and they do not carry 24k gold because they don't sell enough of it because it is too expensive, they told me that the highest most places carry is 14k or 18k(few 22k)

I sure hope you don't give it away for 7000, it's not worth it. especially with all the negativity people put you threw. there's a lot of stuff I think when I see most of the post on here but I keep to myself.
