yes it works very well, I had it on my original xbox at the other end of the house and it had enough pick up power to stream HD movies through the media center when hooked up as an extender.

yes absolutely, I just got the new x box 360 slim that has built in wifi so this one is no longer required.

I LOVE the new slim, it is so quiet, and seems to be alot quicker loading up and transitioning between everything. Has not gotten hot at all yet. Love it

nope it plugs into your rear USB port and clips into the rear venting to hold it. then its just turn on and goto your settings to find the network
