They cradle sore nipples in a protective shell to help prevent further irritation. The comfort and protection they provide may be all that you need until your nipples heal. Comes with two shells, two backs and four foam inserts ( the foam inserts have never been used). Also have the instructions for use. The shells and backs are dishwasher safe.

You don't need to freeze them - although that might provide some additional relief. They act as a cover for your nipples so that you can wear a shirt/bra and it won't irritate them. Also, it airs them out so they can heal faster.
