No, it is truly silver, the picture does not show, because of the flash picture!!!!!!!!!! the clad is real clad, this one is silver....i will try to get a side picture of the coin!!!!!!!!!!

bicentennial coins were minted in 1975 and 76 so you can't find a quarter, half dollar or silver dollar with the year 1975 on them.

It's 40% silver

Some of the IKE were 40% silver and even some had a satin and some had cameo type finish, high luster!!!!! according to book outer layers .800 silver, .200 cooper bonded to inner core of .209 silver ...... NONE are 100% silver, no coins today are 100% silver, But they still call SILVER

The only silver coins minted in 1975-76 were 40%. What you have here is as good as it gets. Very cool

I have a bunch of these and when this one is gone, I will change the description so that will reflect that, so tha people will know that only 7,000.000 but several millions these coins were melted down in 1982, they are not sure how many !!!!!!! THANK YOU for your help, i told everyone i'm not expert, but i have a coin book!!!!!
