Up for auction is a lot of gold filled and or plated 10-14-18kt!!! With the prices of gold at an all time high...gold recovery places are now taking plated and filled jewelry for recycling!!!! Heres your chance to recuperate some money spent on christmas! Im not sure what the scrap value is....but there is value in recycling this...All pieces are stamped with the exception of the pocketwatch case...i did some research and found that the dueber special-warrented for 25 years: is a heavy 14k gold plating...ive seen just this case alone selling on ebaY for over $40! The ring is stamped 18k h.g.e.e...! Please take note that the majority of the plating on the ring has worn off...but the under metal looks like silver!!! I havent had it tested to.confirm this metal is or isnt silver though!!

It does have scrap value...the recovery process is harder but the gold can be recovered....i have taken alot to my local jeweler- recycler and he has bought it from me before...do your research and get your facts...it takes quite a bit...but it is cash in it!!

Im not sure of the size of the ring...its a mens ring i think...but i dont think its wearable...the stone is cracked...and alot of the plating has wore off around the bottom and sides....thats why i posted this as a recycle lot....the watches dont run...may be fixable...i dont know..please dont bid if your intent is to wear this ring...its pretty shot!!!...but with gold being so high...gold reclaimers are now taking filled and plated jewelry for scrapping...and i looked at a forum about the pocketwatch..and some guy did an acid test on one exactly like the one pictured..and the plating was so thick...it showed solid 14k...but its not!! Hope this helps!!!

Plated and filled gold jewelery has zero value unless its over sterling but its still a nice set. Good luck. A vintage collector would love it

Trottintrev...google gold filled- plated recycling... theres only about a couple hundred sites on the web that will buy gold filled and gold plated jewelry... do your research before commenting on auctions...i have 100% feedback positive and i am not going to post something that is not true....i have scrapped over a grand in plated-filled jewelry at my local jeweler...it takes alot of the material to make any serious cash..and alot of jewelers dont mess with it because its harder to get a monitary value...but it is value in it...www.therefiningcompany.com....along with many many more...still think theres zero value...cant argue with people buying it!!

@Trott.. filling and plated to have scrap value, they take a percentage of total weight i have found it gets close to 100 to 150 per ounce for plated/filled . that is after a weight deduction for the base medals .
