These are are seeds from my beautiful hummingbird magnet, Cardinal Flower. These are wonderful in my garden, blooming summer through fall. The flowers have beautiful bright crimson spurs surrounding a tall spike. The foliage is bright green and turns bronze in fall. They grow in full sun to part shade, and love moist soil. Tall plants may need staking, but they bloom even if they fall over. Cut back flower stalks for repeat blooming. They are reliable bloomers, and this variety is more drought tolerant than most Cardinal Flowers. They tend to be short lived, but will self-seed, giving you years of enjoyment. Very little care is needed for these beauties, they are very hardy. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!

garden. They are EXTREMELY SMALL & look like orange dust. They will be sent First Class mail. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 65°F in the spring of 2012. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 3-5 seeds per pot. About 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny location.
