These are seeds from my purple & white mixed LIATRIS plants. These are valuable landscape plants, as they are a U.S. native, drought tolerant, attract butterflies and hummingbirds, and stay where you plant them. The flowers are numerous on tall stalks, opening from the top, down. They do reproduce well and have never become weedy if left to naturalize. They prefer a sunny site, but will grow in part shade. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!

This Auction: You will be receiving 10 seeds from my
garden. They will be sent First Class mail. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 65°F in the spring of 2012. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 3-5 seeds per pot. About 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny location.
