The listing, 4 Old Military Silver Hallmarked Cups Made in England - Free shipping! has ended.
Up for grabs... a nice piece of American military comaraderie.
These four matching cups measure 3" tall and a little less than 2.5" in diameter. No dents, dings, scratches, etc. Just tarnish.
All are heavily tarnished but it polishes off to a silver mirror finish shine. I cleaned a small spot with silver polish to make sure it would come off and it did.
All have decorative handles firmly attached and all are mounted on sturdy round bases. All sit flat and none are mishapen.
Three of them have a name engraved on them (J Honore, S Malcor, and C Kzaweiw) and the fourth has I - 76 FA. All I've been able to find out about them is that I -76 was a military unit affiliated with Ft. Stewart in GA. I haven't been able to find out what time frame these are from.
All four have the same marks on the bottom of the cups. They are marked F E Co inside little rounded squares, Silver Plated in Cursive font, and then Made In England.
If you are looking for silver scrap please don't bid on these. While they do have some silver value they are not solid silver and their greatest value is in their history.
