The listing, Native American Necklace and Bracelet has ended.

I've had this set for a long time. The smaller beads are of a clay tile I think and the larger beads are of wood that are painted. They are strung on kinda like a fishing line, not a fancy clasp. I took a set of these and restrung with more flexible stringing line and put on some nice clasps and I get so many compliments on mine, these could be done the same way, or use it like it is in it's vintage look. I have two more sets I am listing of a different color and that is the last I have of them.
This set has one tile bead that has broken in half, I enlarged the photo to show the break. It can be glued back, however, I didn't want to do that and pass it off without the buyers knowledge. It is an even break and could be repaired without too much trouble, or restring the set.

Sounds like a good time to me! How u know what plants are edible? I been reading my granny's Fox Fire books but haven't found any plants yet. The only one I pick is poke salad.

well, we aint died yet..guess that's a start. My grandmammy was part Cherokee and lived off the land with 12 younguns. She taught me a lot I guess. When you grow up eating wild greens, you just know. Then my hiking buddy Marie took one of them fancy college courses and went all latin on me, lol. What we don't know we have checked out by some of her buddies at the college in the big city. This year we were fortunate to locate some pure white blackberries, our neatest and most rare find yet. Fox Fire are good books, I used to have some sets of them. I'm the poke salad queen around here, I make the best, lol. Gotta use that Tennessee Pride hot sausage to give it its kick. A little bear grease helps, but then, it helps anything. We are in the process of writing a book on plants to pick for eating and profit. No use in anyone going hungry when the forests are full of fruit, greens and meat. We plan on incorporating some of our wild tall tale experiences we have endured with the critters and Forest Rangers, (LOL) thats a book in itself. When we are finished I'll offer one up on Listia due to the responses we've had on our "stuff". To do this full time, you gotta be part wild you know. I always say I'm part Cherokee, part white man and part bobcat.

Welllll, we aint normal by most standards, but I reckon we're standard by most normals......Marie and I have been friends for over fifty years. We stay in the woods from spring until fall collectin, gathering, eating, selling, tasting, smoking, haha, all the different herbs the woods hold in wait fer us. We're just too old and cantankerous to care and love it that way.
