Description

The listing, Hollyhock Seeds*Gorgeous Rich Wine*20, 40, Or 60* Seeds! has ended.

Wow! These will get attention and make all your neighbors envious!

Up to 8' tall spikes of beautiful rich Burgundy/Wine flowers will add color to your garden or yard. I have them in 4 different locations on our acreage. Its awesome to see them where ever I go, even looking out the kitchen window by the garage (1st & 4th pic)!

Easy to grow
Our most popular flower seeds
Plant in the fall or spring and cover with leaves, straw, grass clippings, or mulch in cold areas
Perfect along a fence, house, garage, or retaining wall.
Seem to be slightly drought tollerant, I do not water them very often.
Usually do not need staking unless there are very strong winds. We have strong winds in NE, so I left some volunteer trees to help them. A customer asked about a trellis. It would be great behind them. You can tie the tall stalks to it.

Hollyhocks are fairly short~lived, I have heard around 3 years, so be sure to scatter some seeds every year to make sure they never stop. They will also drop some seeds naturally.

The first picture was taken in May, and I took the picture of the single flower 7/23/12. Really windy that day, and I had to bend the stalk down to get a picture, it is so tall.

The flowers and leaves are edible, to decorate cakes, etc. We never use chemicals in our gardens.

The lucky winner will receive 20 fresh seeds from this year's plants.
**If this auction goes over 1,000 credits, 40 seeds, if GIN is used, you will get 60+ seeds:)

To save seeds, wait until the flowers drop and the seed pod turns light brown and starts to split open. Collect the seeds before they all fall out. The seeds will be very dark Brown, almost Black when ready. Store in a dry place.
