Free shipping is too much for many of us to offer -but I also find "exact shipping" makes me very uncomfortable. I was overcharged for shipping once, and rarely bid on "exact" auctions. I can tell you how I estimate a fixed fee...first you must have a scale of some sort to measure ounces and pounds. Find a zipcode from somwhere as far away from you in the continental USA as you can get, and take your zip and plug all of theses numbers (your zip, faraway zip, and item weight (+ packaging) in to the USPS rate calculator (online). You can charge more or less to what you think is best. That's just the basics. The rest you can learn as you go.
