Perennial - Hardy to USDA Zone 5b / -15°F (-26.1 °C)

Height : 18-24 in. (45-60 cm)
Spacing :15-18 in. (38-45 cm)

Sun Exposure : Full Sun

Soil pH : 6.1 to 7.8 (mildly alkaline to mildly acidic)

Blooms : Mid-Spring thru Summer

The flowers of this plant are fragrant (CHOCOLATE !) and are attractive to almost all pollinators. It is drought-tolerant and suitable for xeriscaping.

Self-sows freely; deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season

Propagation : Division of rootball; herbaceous stem cuttings; and from seed. Direct sow seed outdoors in the Fall - - Can be winter-sown in vented containers. Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before your last spring frost - - AFTER stratifying seeds for 8-12 weeks in your fridge.
