My daughter just got a 19 month old foster son. Would this book be helpful for her or is it geared to the first year. Thanks

This book is more geared for a newborn baby. My daughter is almost 3 months old. I got this book thinking it would be helpful to help with learning how to soothe her cries, and different techniques used. But by the time I read it, I had already been doing everything the book mentioned. I'm a first time mom, so it would have been helpful for me when I first had her. Hope this answers your question....

This book and dvd is awesome! Book has more useful details that I think all new mom should read, really helpful when youi have a crying baby. Works like MAGIC.

Yes it does. I think it's best for newborns though... Once you've had your baby after the first month, you figure things out to do to help them stop crying.... :O) I think I just got it too late! LOL our daughter was already 3 months by the time I got it
