This auction is for two United States Marine Corps commemorative coins/medallions.These are not legal tender coins and I don't think they were made by a US mint.
I don't actually know anything about them.I don't know who minted them, I don't know what they are made of. I don't know what they are worth.
All I know is that there are two of them, one is gold colored, one is silver colored, they weigh about an ounce each,they are proof strikes,they are dated 2005,on the front they say LIBERTY and MARINES 1775-2005. On the back they say DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY and UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.
they are in plastic capsules in a wooden display box and they have a brilliant luster.
