The listing, The Power Station 1985 debut cassette tape has ended.
This is the 1985 Capitol Records release of The Power Station. This is a standard audio cassette. Many young people won't know what I'm trying to describe. :)
Power Station was a 1980s supergroup made up of singer Robert Palmer, bassist John Taylor, guitarist Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, and former Chic drummer Tony Thompson. Bernard Edwards, also of Chic, was involved on the studio side as recording producer. For a short time he also functioned as Power Station's manager. The band was formed in New York City late in 1984 during a break in Duran Duran's schedule that became a lengthy hiatus. Power Station was named after The Power Station recording studio where their album was conceived and recorded.
Side one
1. "Some Like It Hot" – 5:05
2. "Murderess" – 4:17
3. "Lonely Tonight" – 3:58
4. "Communication" – 3:37
Side two
1. "Get It On (Bang a Gong)" – 5:29
2. "Go to Zero" – 4:58
3. "Harvest for the World" – 3:37
4. "Still in Your Heart" – 3:20
I tested it and it sounds well cared for with no audible drop-outs. The only thing I could say is wrong other than standard use is that whomever owned it before me decided to place a piece of label maker tape on side 1, which reads DT-85. It's not bad necessarily, but a collector would toss it in the garbage for such an infraction.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
